Ethera Inc. and its related companies (“Ethera” or “we” or “us”) operates the https://www.myethera.com/ website (the “Site”). This privacy policy (this “Policy”) describes the policies and procedures regarding our collection, use, and sharing of this information.

By providing information to us or by using our products or services, including this Site, you agree to our collection, use and sharing of your information as described in this Policy. We reserve the right to revise this Policy at our discretion. In such a case, we will change the Effective Date above. Your inaction or continued use of our Site, products or services after the revised Policy is posted will tell us that you agree to these changes.

How and Why We Use the Data We Collect

We collect several different types of information for various purposes to provide our services and to improve this Site.

Tracking Cookies Data. So we can see what people like and don’t like on our site.

While using our products and services, including this Site, we may ask you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information that can be used to contact or identify you (“Personal Data”). Personal Data may include, but is not limited to, your name, email address, and telephone number. Additionally, when you create an account with Ethera, we may collect additional information, such as credit card information and details about your insurance. We may use your Personal Data to send information that may be helpful to you.

Disclosure to Third Parties

We may need to disclose your information to third parties for various reasons.

Disclosure for Law Enforcement. Under certain circumstances, Ethera Care Inc. may be required to disclose your Personal Data if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities (e.g. a court or a government agency).

Service Providers. We may employ third party companies and individuals to facilitate our services, perform Site-related services or assist us in analyzing how our Site is used. These third parties have access to your Personal Data only to perform these tasks on our behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose. Any information collected by a third-party service is subject to the privacy policies of the third-party service provider.

Links to Third Party Websites and Platforms. Our Site may contain links to other sites that are not operated by us. If you click a third party link, you will be directed to that third party’s site. We strongly advise you to review the privacy policy of every site you visit. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies or practices of any third party sites or services. Our Site may also contain links or buttons to enable you to share or post content on third-party social media platforms. The privacy policy of such social media platforms will apply to any content you share or post, and Ethera is not responsible for the privacy practices of such third-party platforms.

Business Transaction. If Ethera is involved in a merger, acquisition or asset sale, your Personal Data may be transferred. We will provide notice before your Personal Data is transferred and becomes subject to a different Privacy Policy.

The Security of Your Data

The security of your data is important to us but remember that no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your Personal Data and other sensitive information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security. If you have reason to believe that your interaction with us is no longer secure (for example, if you feel that the security of any account with us has been compromised), please immediately notify us of the problem by contacting us in accordance with the “Contact Us” section below.

Your Privacy Rights

You, and you alone, own your privacy. We want you to understand your rights, and feel empowered to exercise them.

Opting-Out of Communications. If you receive unwanted Ethera communication, you can Unsubscribe or contact us directly to remove you from further communication. Please note that even if you opt out of receiving marketing communications, our system may still send non-marketing-related messages such as appointment reminders, notifications and information relating to your account, and other transactional messages.

Updating Your Personal Data or Cancelling your Ethera account. If you have signed up for an account with Ethera, you may review and update the Personal Data associated with your account by signing in to your client portal. If you want us to disable your account at any time, just contact us at support@myethera.com. We may ask you to verify your identity before we disable your account or delete any information. Your right to delete information is subject to our record retention policy, including any retention requirements under applicable laws.

California Residents. If you are a California resident, you may have the right to request and receive certain information about our disclosure of your personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes, and your choices with respect to such disclosures. Because it is our policy not to share your personal information with third parties for their own direct marketing purposes unless you are first given the opportunity to opt out from such sharing, we are exempt from having to meet this requirement. Children’s Privacy. This Policy addresses Ethera’s procedures for handling the personal information of customers in the U.S. who are at least 13 years old. We do not seek to, nor do we knowingly collect, information from anyone under the age of 13 (“Child” or “Children”). If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your Child has provided us with Personal Data, please contact us.

Exclusions. Unless otherwise specified, our products, service and this Site are intended for use within the U.S. Accordingly, if you do not reside in the U.S. and are using our products, services and/or this Site, if you provide personal information to us, it may be transferred to and processed on computers in the U.S. and other countries. The data protection and privacy laws of such other countries, including the U.S., may not afford you the same level of protection as those in your own country. Do not provide your personal information to us if you do not want this information to be transferred outside of your country, or if the laws in your country restrict these types of transfers. By doing business or interacting with Ethera, by using our Site, or by otherwise providing personal information to us, you agree to the terms of this Policy and are consenting to the transfer, storage, and processing of your personal information to and within facilities located in the U.S.  and other facility locations selected by Ethera.

Other Things to Know

Retention of Data. We will retain your Personal Data only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy. We will retain and use your Personal Data to the extent necessary to comply with our legal obligations (for example, if we are required to retain your data to comply with applicable laws), resolve disputes and enforce our legal agreements and policies. We will also retain Usage Data for internal analysis purposes. Usage Data is generally retained for a shorter period of time, except when this data is used to strengthen the security or to improve the functionality of our Service, or we are legally obligated to retain this data for longer periods.

Copyright. All content on the Site, including text, graphics, logos, images, audio or visual clips, downloads and software, and the compilations of content, is the property of Ethera and its affiliates or its licensors. This content is protected by copyright laws.

Changes to our Privacy Policy. We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. We will let you know via email and/or a prominent notice on our Service, prior to the change becoming effective and update the “effective date” at the top of this Privacy Policy. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes. Changes to this Privacy Policy are effective when they are posted on this page.

Therapy Styles

Short Term (Solution-focused, etc.) 
Ideal for those who are coming in with a specific problem they’d like to address and gain clarity on. Typically, short term therapies are present focused and do not dive deep into your past.

Structured
Structured therapies are goal and progress oriented. Therapists may incorporate psychoeducation and a specific “curriculum.” In order to stay on track, therapists may provide worksheets and homework.

Insight-oriented (Psychodynamic, Existential, etc.) 
Exploring the past and making connections to present issues can help clients gain insight. Getting to the root of the issue and finding deeper self-awareness can help with long-term change.

Non-directive (Humanistic, Person-centered, etc.)
Going with the flow and seeing where it leads.

Behavioral (CBT, DBT, etc.)
Focuses on changing potentially unhealthy or self-destructive behaviors by addressing problematic thought patterns and specific providing coping skills.

Trauma Focused (EMDR, TF-CBT, etc.)
Recognizing the connection between trauma experiences and your emotional and behavioral responses, trauma focused therapy seeks to help you heal from traumas.
